A list of professionals with different skills will serve as scientific advisors for Genomic Enterprise:
Tom Cullen, B.S. - App Development
Tom graduated from St Bonaventure University and currently sits on their National Alumni Board. He started his career in finance as a trader in the Chicago trading pits. After 6 years, he left the floor to start a high frequency trading firm. During that time, he became very involved in building trading software. Tom saw other businesses miss growth opportunities because of their lack of technology knowledge. In 2012 he started LaunchPad Lab a software development consultancy to help those businesses. Among other areas, LaunchPad Lab devotes time to building technologies in the Healthcare space. Tom is specifically interested in building technology that speeds up the time it takes for cancer researchers to develop new drugs and cure certain types of cancer. In late 2013, Tom and LaunchPad Lab cofounded PayValet, a payments company geared toward businesses collecting payments.
Fernando C. Filho, MSc - Big Data Analysis
Fernando C. Filho, holds a B.Sc. in Computer Systems Analytics and a Masters Degree in Biotechnology with a major in Bioinformatics at the Ribeirão Preto University (UNAERP), in São Paulo, Brazil. He also did a specialization at the Brazilian National Laboratory of Scientific Computation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Fernando worked at the Molecular Biology and Genomics Laboratory in the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (LICR), developing tools to mine data from the human genome for gene discovery in cancer. He recently founded a Consulting Company under his name with the aim of providing Software Quality Control Analytics for different corporations in the healthcare sector.
